Post-workout smoothies are one of the most practical nutrition strategies available: fast to make, easy to consume even when appetite is low after hard training, and highly configurable to your macros. The base formula for a post-workout smoothie: 1 scoop protein powder (25-30g protein), 1 cup milk or water, 1 piece of fruit (carbohydrates for glycogen replenishment), and optional additions for nutrition and flavour.

Recipe 1 - Classic Chocolate Banana: 1 scoop chocolate whey, 300ml milk, 1 banana, 1 tbsp peanut butter, ice. Macros: 400 cal, 35g protein, 40g carbs, 10g fat. Recipe 2 - Berry Recovery: 1 scoop vanilla whey, 250ml milk, 1 cup mixed frozen berries, 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt, 1 tsp honey. Macros: 340 cal, 33g protein, 38g carbs, 4g fat. Recipe 3 - Tropical Fuel: 1 scoop vanilla whey, 250ml coconut water, ½ cup frozen mango, ½ banana, ½ cup pineapple. Macros: 310 cal, 28g protein, 42g carbs, 2g fat. Recipe 5 - Peanut Butter Oat: 1 scoop chocolate whey, 250ml milk, ½ cup oats, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tsp honey. Macros: 550 cal, 42g protein, 55g carbs, 16g fat (ideal for weight gain).
